"STUFF THE BUS!"
stuffed animal drive to benefit Child Abuse Prevention Foundation
WHAT: "Stuff the Bus!" Join United Way's stuffed animal drive on the road to collect 10,000 stuffed animals we'll donate to children in need all around San Diego. Why 10,000? This represents the number of child abuse and neglect cases that occur every year in our county.
Help us stuff a vintage Volvo bus full of new toys to put smiles on the faces of deserving children all over San Diego. Donations benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation and will go to local agencies who work with abused and neglected children.
Take action, San Diego!
- Host an internal collection drive at your workplace
- Donate as a family or group of friends
- Convince your local retailer to donate
- Or. . . just purchase a new stuffed animal
WHEN: Saturday, June 21, 10 AM-2PM
United Way of San Diego County's Day of Action - a day meant to mobilize people everywhere to give, advocate and volunteer - "Stuff the Bus" gives San Diego an opportunity to get involved in an important local issue.
