Each of the three focus areas is on a different timetable for issuance of RFP's (Request For Proposal) and subsequent funding. When an RFP or Letter of Intent request is issued, it will be highlighted on the front page of our website and we will make every effort to distribute widely via email.
Homeless Outreach & Prevention
United Way is pleased to announce the release of a Basic Needs Request for Proposal. This funding opportunity is open to all eligible organizations. Please see the attached criteria to determine your specific eligibility. Also attached is the actual application for funding.
After speaking with many of your organizations and reviewing the comprehensive data provided from 2-1-1 San Diego, United Way is making this funding opportunity available on a one-time basis to address the overwhelming needs present in our community. We are specifically focusing on basic needs for individuals and families at risk of, or who are experiencing first-time homelessness.
