Why Give to United Way?

Donating to United Way of San Diego County is an ideal way to improve the lives of your neighbors in need and invest in San Diego’s future. We’re funding proven programs that lead to lasting change in our community, with measurable results that we’ll report back to you as a donor.

Online Giving – Giving online is a simple, safe, powerful way to make a difference. You can designate your funds immediately – toward our three building block initiatives – or earmark them for one of the many agencies that partner with us under the United Way/CHAD (Combined Health Agencies) campaign. Workplace Giving – Nearly 600 area companies hold more than 1,000 workplace giving campaigns each year to raise money for the United Way/CHAD Campaign, allowing tens of thousands of San Diego County residents to donate millions of dollars to help improve lives. Contributing to United Way through your workplace campaign’s payroll deduction makes it easier for anyone to donate. Click here to learn how to start a Workplace Campaign.
