The early years of a child’s life are crucial. Their brain architecture, their attitudes about learning, their social skills, and their emotional intelligence are all formed during their first eight or nine years. If we support our children and families to thrive during this critical time period, the returns on our investments in their success are enormous – for the child and for society.
Join a community of San Diegans who are passionate about the power of early childhood – prenatal to third grade – at the second annual P3SD Conference on July 29th.
The conference, which will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, brings national-caliber speakers, regional leaders, passionate advocates, school districts, and the early childhood community together to envision dramatically improved approaches to supporting the region’s youngest children.
The conference this year will explore the theme of equity – how support for early childhood development is a potent strategy for closing opportunity gaps. It is convened by the Education Synergy Alliance, United Way’s close partner for early childhood and early education advocacy and knowledge development. United Way is a sponsor of the conference!
The conference will inspire attendees from early care, PK-12 education, higher education, business, philanthropy, and government to action through access to cutting edge practices and research from confirmed speakers including:
