United Way of San Diego County’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) raises awareness and much-needed funds to help solve community problems. The WLC has a simple goal: Mobilize the power of women to improve lives in our community. Members take action on issues that hit closest to home—in the areas of education and family stability—by giving, volunteering and advocating on behalf of women and children.
Since its inception in 2008, the Women’s Leadership Council has grown its membership, currently representing more than 200 women across multiple industries, segments, and communities. San Diego women look to the WLC for meaningful philanthropic opportunities to learn and lead, network and support—with the goal of improving the lives of women and children in our region.
Please join us in creating long-term community change! To join the WLC, our members make a $1,000 annual gift directly to United Way. For those interested in joining who are under 30, they can take advantage of our WINGs (Women In the Next Generation of Giving) step-up program, by making an annual gift of $500 directly to United Way the first year, $750 the second year and $1,000 in their third year as a member. We welcome you to connect!
