Membership with meaning: UWSD offers you a chance to create lasting community change through leadership, career growth, and connections. We believe merging the professional with the personal builds your brand while forging a legacy for the future.
Our Affinity Groups, Emerging Leaders and Women United, are made up of San Diegans who are passionate about strengthening the region through meaningful service, leadership development, and networking opportunities. Beyond raising money and awareness for UWSD’s efforts in Early Childhood Success, Youth Success, and Family Stability, both groups help members cultivate professional networks while maintaining a connection to community.
Emerging Leaders
Be part of a group representing nearly every industry and sector in San Diego County, with opportunities for professional development, networking, and introductions to the region’s philanthropic community. Each month, members develop business and leadership skills while building a cross-industry network.
We welcome all individuals who are interested in professional growth and development, possess a spirit for volunteerism, and contribute $500 annually. Those who are interested in investing the funds but do not wish to participate can sponsor an individual of their choice from their organization or community.
Women United
Become part of a diverse network of community-minded women who take action, drive change, and create community on behalf of women and children. These philanthropic leaders raise awareness and much-needed funds for issues that hit closest to home—ensuring success and prosperity for San Diego’s women and children.
Women United currently represents more than 100 members across 22 industries and sectors, offering meaningful philanthropic opportunities to learn, lead, network, and support other like-minded professional women. Members also pool their funds and vote each year on how to invest their dollars in the Women United Fund to make the most impact on helping women and children here in San Diego.
