Every Student, Every Family: STEAM-to-Careers

Every Student, Every Family: STEAM-to-Careers

Every Student, Every Family: STEAM-to-Careers is a free after-school extended learning program tailored to middle and high school students in Southeastern San Diego through Level Up San Diego grant programming.

United Way of San Diego County is committed to improving the quality of life within all of San Diego’s communities through eliminating racial and economic disparity gaps in education outcomes. This initiative extends our work to facilitate more equitable systems, providing every student and every family access to education and opportunities to succeed.

Afterschool programming features Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) and literacy focused enrichment activities and is held at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA Teen Center Monday through Friday 3-6pm.

Programming accelerates youth development, career pathways, sports/fitness, and outdoor/nature experiences. In addition to the Jackie Robinson YMCA, UWSD is bringing afterschool learning opportunities to the Southeastern San Diego community in partnership with a handful of local organizations.

*This program was made possible thanks to grant support from The San Diego Foundation.
